Brown and Crunchy

Today I had to go back to the Optometrist to order my contacts.  I helped Tabitha bake an apple pie and brownies.  They are for Grandma & Grandpa; we're going to their house tomorrow.  It's Katelyn's birthday.  We got her 2 Beanie Babies and these really cute flower, glittery hair clips.  It is so hot outside that all the grass is brown and crunchy.  Brennan stepped on a stick with his bare feet and got a giant sliver.  When I came downstairs I saw a giant spider on the floor just crawling around.  Dad said it was the biggest one he's ever seen in a house!  I was so scared!

$210!!

Guess how much money I have?  $210!!  If I didn't spend my money all summer, I would have about $350!  At 5:00pm today, Dan & Nicole came over so I could babysit them.  They played and ate dinner here till 8:00pm.  Then I took them back home.  Snack, bath, PJ's, books, bed.  And guess what this time is the first time that they actually slept!

Way Too Early!

Today I have to babysit Ethan, Cam and Hanna Johnson from 7:30-12:00.  It's 7:00 right now.  Way too early!  It's summer for crying out loud!  I should be sleeping until 10 or 11!  I'm gonna finish getting ready.

I Am Normal

Today from 10:00am till 3:00pm I babysat Dan & Nicole.  They were pretty good.  First they wanted to read books, so we read about 4 of them.  Then we watched TV for a little while.  Then we played a game. Then Brennan came over to play pinball.  I made them lunch while they watched Rugrats.  Nicole wanted Jelly & Chocolate.  Dan wanted Peanut Butter and Fluff.  I am normal, I like PB&J.  After lunch, Dan wanted to watch Little Bear, and Nicole wanted to watch Mary Poppins.  So me and her watched it in the living room.  Then we had a snack.  Ice pops and fruit roll-ups.  Then we played little red riding hood.  Then, we played bubble gum bubble gum.  Then we played hide and seek.  Finally, after that, it was 3:00.  

When I got home, we got ready and went to the pool.  When we were there, we saw Anne there with her kids and she said that she couldn't stay because they had to go to a bday party.  Well, turns out it was Ellen Cramer's birthday, and we weren't invited.  Then, Amy asked Maddox, "Were you invited to Ellen's birthday party?" and sweet little Maddox said "No..." and Amy said, "Well, I was!!"  I think that was pretty rude.  Well I gotta go to bed now.

**Editors Note: I feel soooo sorry for my poor 15 year old self having to have a day like this.  Good god, a 5 year olds drama becomes my drama means something just isn't right.  I really needed to be around some friggin teenagers.**

He Drank It, Nasty!

• I just got back from the Jonhnson's house.  
• I went there at 7:30.  
• I had to go and wake up Ethan at 8:00 and Cam woke up at 8, too.  
• Then Hannah woke up at about 8:10.  
• I gave them breakfast, Lucky Charms and apple juice.  
• Cam wanted V8, so I gave it to him and he drank it, nasty!  
• Then I had to get them dressed and get Ethan over to Anne's by 9:00 so he can go to Vacation Bible School.  
• Then I took Cam and Hannah on the trampoline.  
• Then we went for a walk around the block.  
• Then they watched Power Rangers and then ate lunch.
• Now I'm home.  
• I have to go to the brown's house at 1:30, it's 1:15.  
• I'll write again tonight.

**Editors Note: I formatted this into bullet form because I felt it was necessary, considering that I basically wrote it out as a play-by-play of unimportant events.  I thought bulleting would help it.  I'm pretty sure I wrote all this out so that in the future I could look back and remind myself how pathetic my teenage summers had to be.**

Lousy Buck

At the Brown's, all I did was play a few games with Kelly for an hour.  When I got home I played some games with Maddox and then Mom said that we were going to the pool in 10 minutes.  So we all hurried and got ready.  Then she said that The Victor's were coming with us.  So we went to their house and they followed us in their car.  We stopped and picked up some KFC to eat at the pool.  While me and Brennan were in the diving pool, I found a dollar laying at the bottom and since I found it, I kept it.  After all, it's only one lousy buck.

Starting To Get Tan

This morning I went over to the Brown's and babysat Kelly, Seth and Mitchell.  Then we went to the pool. I'm really starting to get tan.  I have about $150.  I didn't buy my glasses yet.  Tomorrow I have to babysit 3 of the Johnson kids from 7:30am-12:00pm.  Then we're going to the pool again.  On Wednesday, I have to babysit Dan & Nicole from 10:00am to 3:00pm.  Thursday I'm back at the Johnson's, same time.  Well, gotta run!

I Love Amish People, They're So Cute!

Yesterday we went tubing down the Delaware river.  It was so much fun!  First you get the tube that is the right size for you.  Then you get in a bus and they drive you up to a certain spot of the river.  It was really shallow, not even up to my knees.  We all got in our tubes and started paddling over to the middle of the river so we didn't float close to the trees.  The current wasn't very fast, especially since the water was really shallow the whole time.  Sometimes it's so shallow that your butt hits the rocks on the bottom.  It was really fun.  Then we went and got ice cream.  Today we went to church.  Then we came back home for lunch.  After lunch we are gonna go on a train ride.  I'll write about that after we get back.

After the train ride...

Hi!  The train was really fun.  It is in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (an Amish town!) so we saw LOTS of Amish people.  I love Amish people, they're so cute!  When we were leaving, we were driving behind a horse and buggy with a family of Amish people in it.  All of the sudden, we saw a little girl's head poke out of the back window (she was maybe 3 years old, blond hair, little blue bonnet, she was really tiny) so we waved to her and she smiled and waved back at u, it was so cute!!!  

The train ride, that's what I should be talking about.  It was really cool.  The seats were really comfortable.  The train took us on what was pretty much a tour of the countryside.  It was so cool.  We got to this part where all you could see was hills for miles, just empty fields.  Then the conductor said to be very quiet and listen.  Then he blew the whistle and about 3 seconds later, you could hear it again.  An echo!  After the train ride we went to the train diner.  It was a little diner that looked like a train caboose.  They even have the sound of a train going over tracks and the horn blowing playing.  And the whole place bumps up and down like a real train.  It was cool.

Watching It On MTV

This morning I went to babysit Elizabeth from 9:15-10:45.  Then at 11:00 I went to the Optometrist to get my trial pair of contacts!  I learned how to put them in, take them out, clean them, etc.  I'm so happy that I finally have contacts!  Today is the first day of Woodstock '99.  I'm watching it on MTV.  I think it would be so cool to be there.  Tomorrow we're going on the train ride.  Or we might go tubing.

Cool Stuff Like Milkey Pens

It's 7:20pm.  Dan & Nicole were pretty good.  Basically all we did was watch TV.  Now I have $140!  I have to spend $110 on glasses, cause Dad is buying me contacts.  That means that I will have $30 left.  What a bummer!!!  I wish that I didn't need glasses!  I wanted to save up my money to get cool stuff like milkey pens and stationary.  Well, I gotta go!

p.s. This weekend we're going tubing down a river!

**Editors Note:  WTF DAD are you serious you made me buy my own glasses at 14 years old?!  I am so offended by this knowledge.  I mean I know you provided a lot for me but what is that?!  So random.  End of rant.**

I Made $7

This morning I babysat Steven & Michael Brown.  It was pretty easy.  I made $7.  It's 3:24pm now.  I have to go over to the Victor's at 4:20 till 5:00.  I have to watch the two kids while Kate gets piano lessons.  Brennan is so excited to go play pinball.  I hope that they are good today, they are usually annoying.  Yesterday, Nicole whacked me in the face with a Game Boy (by accident).  Well, I gotta go now!  Bye!

**Editors Note:  In hindsight, these babysitting jobs are straight up slave labor.  Would you take $7 to get whacked in the face with Game Boys?  Dude.  No.**

Getting Called Upstairs to "Help Out"

Today is the only day this week that I don't have to babysit.

• I have to babysit tomorrow from 10am-3pm; Dan & Nicole  
• Thursday from 9:00-11:00; Steven & Michael  
• Friday from 9:30-11:00; Elizabeth

This morning me and Brennan played Balderdash.  It's a fun game.  Then I went to Sara's house.  Ashley was there.  I was supposed to go to Ashley's house, but she called me and told me to go to Sara's.  I am so hungry and tired.  I like it here and I don't miss Michigan, but these kids are driving me CRAZY!  I can't take it!  I can never just sit in my room and have peace and quiet for an hour or so.  I'm always getting called upstairs to "help out".  Fold laundry, feed Lila, set the table, empty the dishwasher, fold more laundry, watch the boys, change diapers, etc.  I'm tired!!!

**Editors Note: Like I said, this is how you keep your teens from having babies.  Give them lots of little siblings!**

Getting Contacts

I haven't written in a while because I've been busy!  Let's see, the last day I wrote was July 8th.  On the 9th I babysat Elizabeth from 9:30-11am.  Then we went to the pool all day.  I don't remember what I did over the weekend.  On the 12th I babysat three of the Jackson kids from 7:30am-noon.  On the 13th I babysat for them, same time.  Then that afternoon, Dad took me, Brennan and Maddox Go-Kart racing.  The 14th, 15th and 16th we went camping.  The 17th we went to Hershey Park.  I went on a lot of cool rides.  The coasters: Great Bear, Trailblazer, Wildcat, Comet and Wild Mouse.  The 17th we slept in really late because of the busy week and we sat around all day.  Today I babysat Steven from 9:00-11:30am.  I also went to the eye doctors, I'm getting contacts!!!

Pool All Day

Today, Mom had to go to the store at around 8:30 this morning and she took Lila with her.  So I babysat Maddox, Brennan and Mika and then Mrs. Jackson came over to take Maddox and Brennan and gave me Heather.  So I babysat Heather and Mika until Mom got back home.  

We went to the pool after lunch.  It was Dana's 5th birthday party today, and the party was at the pool.  We stayed at the pool all day until dinner time.  Then we got KFC and came home and ate.  Then I went over to Kathy's to babysit the two boys from 7:30-10:30pm.  When I got home, I counted all my money and I have $90.  I would have a lot more but I bought 6 Beanies and 1 Puffkin and some other small things a while ago.

A Lot To Do This Summer

Yesterday was the 4th of July, it was fun. We saw some awesome fireworks! They were all different shapes and stuff. I babysat this morning for Elizabeth from 9:30-12. Then at around 3:00 we went to the pool. We�re going to go every day. Maddox is learning to swim! He�s doing so good! We still have a lot to do this summer. Go Go-Kart racing, camping, canoeing, white water rafting and Hershey Park. Fun stuff! It�s been so hot out! Yesterday, it was 103 degrees and today it was 101 degrees, tomorrow it�s supposed to be like today. I�m going to bed now, it�s 11:00pm.
