Soap Opera Moment

Guess what happened today.  It's not good.

I was talking to Claire while we were talking to 4th hour and she said, "So, what did you and Allie do on Saturday?"  And so I told her and she said, "Me and Jessalyn went to the dance for a while" and I was like "What?!  Why?!" and she said, "What do you mean?" and I said "Jessalyn said that she couldn't go and since she wasn't going, you weren't going; so why did you guys go??!" and she said, "Well, Jessalyn's parents changed their minds." and I said, "So, why didn't you tell us, why did you guys go there without us" and she said... well never mind I'm not going to write exactly what we said anymore cause I can't really remember cause I was too pissed off but I kept asking her reasonably understandable nosey questions till we got there.

Then I ran into my 4th hour to tell Allie the little soap opera of a moment we had going.  It was funny because while I was telling her the story, quite a few of the people around us were just staring at us and listening.  Juicy gossip!!  Anyway, the best is yet to come.

On the bus, Jessalyn acts like she did no wrong until finally Allie brings it up.  Of course Jessalyn tried to defend herself but it didn't make us feel any better, only worse.  She said that her parents told her around 5pm that she could go and she could only stay for around an hour or so.  She said that she figured we would be at the punk show and her mom said she couldn't go to that (for some gay unknown reason, it's not bad) but then Allie said, "Well you should have at least called us on Sunday or Monday.  It's not the fact that we didn't get to go, it's the fact that we thought you couldn't go but you did go and then didn't tell us."  By the end of the bus ride we had both pretty much gotten out all our feelings to her and she was mad and didn't talk to us.

In Algebra, she was writing a note to some guy Ron.  I asked her who he was and she said he was her boyfriend.  Boyfriend?!  She never told me she had a boyfriend!  She always tells me this kind of stuff.  But she didn't tell me that she's been going out with him since Friday.  Geez!  What a great friend she's being.
